TRAVELING THROUGH SOME ENGLISH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES

Lexique abordé: vocabulaire relatif aux voyages (transports, leux de séjour....) et aux activités de vacances (sports, toursime...., vocabulaire de repérage spatiale (sur une carte)
Méthodologie: écrire une carte postale - organiser un paragraphe argumenté (faire une introduction, donner son opinion personnelle, enrichir avec des exemples, ajouter des arguments - conclure)
Thème civilisationnel: découvrir les pays où l'anglais est une langue officielle (nationalités, drapeaux, hymnes officiels), l'Australie (présentation générale, découverte des Aborigènes) et le Canada.
DEROULEMENT DE LA SEQUENCE
I. Where is English an official language?
1. Brainstorming: list the countries where you think English is an official language.
2. Discovering other countries where English is an official language (map)
3. Worksheet: name of the country / name of the inhabitants / adjective
4. Web quest: choose two countries among the list of English-speaking countries and find information about them. Then, introduce your countries to the class (worksheet)
II. Let's go to Australia.
1. Oral comprehension: The best job in the world
