HAPPY BIRTHDAY "LONDON CALLING" AND THE CLASH
The Clash, a famous English punk rock band was created in 1976 and its style consisted in a combination of punk, rock but also reggae and funk. It was composed of Joe Strummer (lead vocals and rhythm guitar) - Mick Jones (solo guitar and vocals) - Paul Simonon (bass guitar and vocals) and Nicky Headon (drums). After Headon's departure in 1982, the band went on playing with other musicians and they finally ended in 1986.
They released 6 studio albums. The third one was entitled London Calling and was released on December 14th 1979. It was ranked in the charts (top ten album in the UK) and sold all over the world (5 milliocopies wolrwide).
